Kids are naturally gifted creators and this week our junior engineers will use their creativity to explore the fundamental principles of engineering. Students will focus on how mathematics and science play a role in building structures. From engineering with Lego’s, to designing Minecraft, students will develop and enhance problem solving and critical thinking skills, while learning from building their own creations… all while having fun! During our field trip to the California Science Center, students will journey through a special exhibit called Creative World, where they can examine the science behind construction, and learn how structures are built to last. Students will even get a hands-on opportunity to test their engineering skills at The Mini Shake Table to see if their building can stand up to the test of an earthquake!
