Are you ready to ride the wave? Wave of excitement that is! Students will discover the wonders of sound waves, light waves, and ocean waves as they delve into different types of science. Experiments with refraction, reflection, and prisms will teach students about the light waves that surround us. They will also explore sounds waves and echolocation, through interactive vibration experiments. Ocean tides and erosion will be researched, as well as how the power of ocean waves can be harnessed to create energy. Students will even get the chance to create their own wave in a bottle! A field trip to the Aquarium of the Pacific will allow our little surfers the opportunity to dive under the waves and explore ocean habitats and a variety of sea animals. Students will be in awe as they pet sharks, sea stars, anemones, and other tide pool animals!
